ARD NA SIDHE COUNTRY HOUSE HOTEL

Built at the behest of Lady Gordon in 1913, Ard na Sidhe Country House is an enchanting house in a magical setting. As a private home, this Victorian style manor house was grand in scale. As a hotel it is intimate and personal, with just eighteen bedrooms, set on the shores of majestic Caragh lake. People are drawn back to Ard na Sidhe. Its ambience combines graceful elegance and old world enchantment, with the luxury of modern comforts and conveniences. “Ard na Sidhe”, or “Hill of the Fairies” is named for the mystical fairy fort which you’ll find as you stroll to the west of the house, through the award winning gardens and the peaceful stillness of Caragh Lake. It is the perfect spot for afternoon tea in the lounge or for a candlelit dinner in the Hotel’s Restaurant. Fantastic packages for overnight stays and relaxing getaways.

Changes due to Covid 19

Thank you for booking with us here at The Towers Hotel in these strange Covid 19 restricted times.

As we reopen our doors to our customers and guests new and old, we would ask you to please take a few moments to read the changes you can expect when you arrive here at The Towers. The situation is evolving and changing on a daily basis so these restrictions are subject to change. We are relying on the WHO, HSE and Irish government for guidance on this and would ask you to take this into consideration.

Eating

We will be following all Government, HSE and WHO guidelines with regard to dining here at The Towers. We would encourage everyone planning on eating with us here at The Towers to call us on 066-9768212 to pre book your table. You must leave your table 105 minutes after your order has been placed. Only people spending €9 or more on food will be entitled to buy alcoholic beverages. We will not be providing a room charge service; all bills must be paid before leaving your table. We will of course give any free tables to walk ins but these will be subject to availability. The Curra Restaurant our fine dining option will not be open this year.

Sleeping

All guests will be pre charged for accommodation on the morning of arrival, using the card used to confirm your booking. This will create a faster check in service. All guests must book their breakfast slot at reception on check in and we would also encourage you to book any lunch or evening meals that you plan to have with us. As all bills will be paid before check out this will again be an express service.

All room keys will be sanitised before arrival and after departure.

All guests must depart their rooms by 11am, we must be very strict on this to allow our cleaning staff to provide the much deeper cleaning now required.

Check in is strictly after 2pm.

Rooms will not be cleaned on stayover nights; this is to ensure your safety and that of our cleaning staff. Fresh towels can be requested at any time from hotel reception, we would however encourage you to think green and to reuse towels at least once.

We have invested in disinfecting systems for our rooms. Rooms will now all be deep cleaned on departure and afterwards a fogging system that effectively delivers a dry mist of concentrated disinfectant to every exposed surface in our hotel bedrooms will be used.

Drinking

From July 3rd guests will be allowed to purchase alcohol with a meal of €9 or more, this will be table service only. Bars reopen fully on July 20th and we await guidance on this.

We will not be providing a residents’ bar service until further notice.
