The 2021 annual Glenbeigh Festival & Races will take place from Friday 27rd Aug. to Sunday 29th.

A message from the Festival Committee

It is with great regret that Glenbeigh Race and Festival Committee have decided to cancel this year’s Races and Festival. While the Government Roadmap indicates that Sports Events with Spectators and Festivals can take place after August 10th, this is subject to restrictions on numbers and the maintenance of Social Distancing. The numbers that will be allowed are not defined and it would be impossible for us to control numbers in non-enclosed venues such as the beach and the village. It would also be impossible for us to ensure Social Distancing requirements are adhered to.
Another important factor is that while we have been lucky to receive financial support from our wonderful sponsors, many of these sponsors are now in a position where their businesses are closed or their income greatly reduced. We could not expect or even ask for their support in these circumstances.
We wish to thank everybody for their understanding in this regard and we hope to see you all back for the Glenbeigh Festival and Races on the weekend of August 27th/28th and 29th 2021.

The races are the centrepiece of a weekend festival with plenty to entertain the whole family. The local pubs of the area also play their part, with fantastic nightly entertainment in “The Towers Hotel”, “Ashes Bar”, “The Red Fox Inn”, “Sweeney’s Village Pub”, “The Glenbeigh Hotel” and “Rosspoint Bar & Restaurant”.
